On the 20th of November 2007, former Civil Air Patrol New Hampshire Wing member Lt Col Alger Conger, of notoriety in the 1995 case Grant v. Civil Air Patrol, was released from New Hampshire State Prison for Men after serving 46 months.

Conger had been convicted in February 2004 of aggravated felonious sexual assault of a person under 13 years of age, along with two counts of felonious sexual assault.
