Civil Air Patrol announced today that George Perry, head of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association’s Air Safety Institute, has become the newest member of Civil Air Patrol’s Board of Governors.

Perry joined AOPA’s staff just last year in 2014 and he currently directs AOPA’s Air Safety Institute, which offers online courses, accident analysis videos and quizzes designed to make continual training and education a life habit for general aviation pilots.

Perry plans to bring his aviation and safety expertise to bear in his work with the Board of Governors.
