  1. All the membership drives and recruiting efforts are meaningless if we don’t have our own house in order first. We lose about 5 of every 7 people that show up because it takes so long to get them going in the program.

You can get all the people in the world to join, but if you don’t train, clothe, equip and shelter them, you are wasting both your and their time. This is basic leadership and management, folks. Perhaps it’s time to dust off the old PME books and read up again on how to take care of our troops.

When someone hears about “this great organization called CAP”, but then shows up to some condemned shack they call a squadron building, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know something is wrong. I know of guys that have walked out of their first CAP meeting, feeling that if this is how they have to operate, then they obviously aren’t very important to our nation.

I blame both NHQ, with their failure to build a proper infrastructure, and the USAF (specifically the guys coasting out of their careers at CAP-USAF and the LO’s/SD’s), for just treating us like red-headed step-children, and not doing anything to provide us with quality facilities on-base to work from, assuming we are even allowed on base. Even small towns have Guard and Reserve Armories – our leadership should have worked things out with them decades ago.

CAP had several decades to prepare for the sudden surge in membership after 9/11, and squandered it.

  2. If we submit a positive story, a true one, about a CAP member in my wing will you release it for me? I want to do this because our drooling, knuckle dragging commanders are threatening us to never send anything here.

  3. Are you waiting for some responsible, corrective behavior from the leadership at CAP Maxwell? Do you think they will tell the truth about the history of abuse and racketeering you have exposed? Do you hope that Ray’s Phoenix Plan will be implemented?

They would rather have Congress kill the whole program than admit the truth about what they have done. They are shutting down all communications to hide from the network of IOs coming after them.

  4. Civil Air Patrol’s stock has fallen drastically.

This is not because of your typical volunteer seeking to help cadets.

This is because of selfish and narcissist mid to higher level “manager” types who use weak people and then claw against each other to advance at any cost. Once the integrity is lost at the top of the organization – and that happened years ago – the members scramble like sycophantic toadies looking to find their evil lord.

I am concerned that the increasing pyschotic behavior and lack of accountability places our cadets in danger because of how others may attempt to harm those who are inflicting these abuses.

  6. The simple fact is that the CAP is NOT a democracy. Certainly not the kind our CAP Founding Fathers intended. We have a CAP corporate dictatorship represented by, and beholden to, no single human being you can reason with or hold responsible for anything.
